Understanding women's hormones and the perimenopause & menopause journey
We are looking forward to hosting this event at our Wellington workshop! It's an important topic and we'd love for anyone who could potentially or is currently experiencing perimenopause/menopause to join us on the day. 💛

AN AFTERNOON AT NISA: SATURDAY 31 AUGUST, 3-5 PM
Understanding women's hormones and the perimenopause & menopause journey: A 90-minute presentation and Q&A with Monica Barnes, founder and lead Clinical Nurse Specialist of The Menopause Clinic.**
This event will cover the following in-depth:
1) What is the impact of menopause on women’s lives in New Zealand, including their workplaces?
2) What are the stages of menopause?
3) What is the role of hormones in menopause?
4) What are the 34 symptoms of perimenopause and menopause?
5) What treatment options exist to support women to stay well during perimenopause and menopause? This includes discussion about lifestyle, non-hormonal and hormonal treatment options.
There will be a handout, but you may like to bring a pen & notebook as the session will be comprehensive.
**To provide a safe space, this event session is only for people who may, or already do, physically experience perimenopause or menopause in their own bodies. Subject to interest, we will consider offering a separate event at a later date for people who are supporting those who are or may be experiencing perimenopause and menopause.
AFTERNOON TEA:
We will have some simple afternoon tea baking available, and also ask that attendees bring a small plate/item to share if they are able to. No pressure!
TICKET INFO:
Due to seating capacity limits at the Nisa workshop, this will be a ticketed event (BYO cushion). We will also be using tickets to cover event costs.
We want to keep this affordable and accessible to as many women and people who may be experiencing perimenopause/menopause as possible.
Attendees will also get 15% off all full-priced items after the talk.
